5 Agreements Recently Signed Between Nigeria and China  

Nigeria, under President Bola Tinubu’s leadership, signed five important agreements with China on September 2023These agreements, known as Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs), aim to strengthen ties between the two nations and foster cooperation in key areas. 

Yusuf Tuggar, Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, confirmed that these agreements are already being implemented.

The Chinese Foreign Minister, Wang Yi, visited President Tinubu at the State House in Abuja, where they discussed progress on the agreements. Minister Tuggar expressed confidence in the partnership, highlighting the mutual respect and shared goals between the two countries.

Here’s a breakdown of the five MoUs signed:

Collaboration on China’s Belt and Road Initiative to boost infrastructure development.

Peaceful application of nuclear energy for mutual benefit.

Development of human resources under a global initiative.

Media collaboration and exchange programs.

Partnership between China Media Group and the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA).This partnership marks a new phase in Nigeria-China relations, with both countries aiming to achieve greater prosperity through cooperation in trade, investment, culture, and technology.
