Anam Boat Mishap: Makeup artist, Abigail Frederick was buried at the river bank because her parents couldn’t afford cost of sacrifice and ambulance – Nollywood filmmaker

Nollywood filmmaker and Chairman, of the Akwa-Cross Chapter of the Directors’ Guild of Nigeria (DGN) Moses Eskor, has said that makeup artist, Abigail Frederick, was buried at the river bank because her family couldn’t afford the cost of sacrifice to the river goddess which cost N150,000 and the ambulance to bring her body home.

 

Late Abigail, 24, was involved in the Anam boat mishap that claimed the life of popular actor, Junior Pope and three other crew members.

 

According to Eskor, he was able to raise the sum of N310, 000.  N200,000 out of the donation was used to convey her parents to Asaba and back home. 

 

“Transportation alone cost them N200,000. They couldn’t afford a sacrifice of over N150,000. And the ambulance to bring back Abigail,” he wrote.

 

He has since taken down the posts after receiving backlash.
