A video of supporters of embattled former governor Yahaya Bello performing rituals to ‘prevent’ him from being arrested by the EFCC operatives has made the rounds on social media. 

 

X user, Imran Muhammad, who shared the video online wrote;

‘’ Supporters of Yahaya Bello are performing rituals to prevent him from being arrested by the EFCC”

In the video, the supporters could be heard making chants in Igbira language.

 

Bello who left office as governor on 27 January, is facing 19 counts of money laundering at the Federal High Court in Abuja. In the charges, EFCC accused Bello, his nephew, Ali Bello; Dauda Suleiman and Abdulsalam Hudu (said to still be at large) of conspiring to misappropriate N80 billion (N80, 246,470, 088.88).
