A short story

Title: The man who gave birth

I know the title will shock a lot of you but this is a true life story😒. Don’t ask me where it happened oh because even i don’t know🏃🏃🏃🏃.

  Some where in Nigeria, a woman named Mrs Ifeoma has given birth to 10 children within the space of 9 years ,  she has  twin boys and 8  female children. Her husband doesn’t feel that the children are enough because according to him God said , man should dominate and fill the earth.

Mrs Ifeoma on several occasions has been seen crying because of the amount of children that she has to take care of. Please do not think for a second that Mrs Ifeoma’s husband has money oh. They are living in a face me i slap you compound which has more than 60 occupants with either 7 or 8 sharing a room. Mrs Ifeoma family is the largest in the compound with a total of 12 members. Ifeoma and her husband are both petty traders selling under an umbrella close to the main road. They sell goods such as biscuits ,sweet and pure water. Whenever the weather is hot ,they pack up their shop, go home and sleep. All their children are attending a public school and they are all sharing a school bag.

One day after all the children had gone to school ,Mrs Ifeoma started vomiting and feeling feverish ,she was approached by a neighbor who asked her what was wrong ,she described  how she was feeling and the immediately the woman knew Mrs Ifeoma was pregnant.

Now Mrs ifeoma after hearing this news started to scream, she began to wail like someone who just lost a child. The woman who tried comforting her is called Mrs Ada. After much consoling on this terrible news, Mrs Ada suggested something to Mrs Ifeoma .

She told Mrs Ifeoma that she knew a great dibia who could help her remove the pregnancy, and she wouldn’t even have to under go abortion but Mrs Ifeoma having so much anger in her heart told the woman that she would not terminate the pregnancy but would transfer it unto her husband who has refused to let her rest from child birth.

The very next day , the two women visited the dibia and the deed was done.

Today as i type this real life story ,i am waiting at the reception of holy Magdalene hospital awaiting the arrival of the first baby to be born by a man😒😒😒.
