1. HEARING FROM GOD

Something distinguishes a minister of God from other ministers; this thing protects him from attack, and also propels miracles; it is the ability to hear from God. It is a way he receives before giving to the church; whatever is received from God is God’s message and not human force, though it is communicated with human language and personality, but the cogent thing is the voice of God. The call heard by Samuel was strange to him because that was the first time, but his guidance told him how to respond without envying him. This is a lesson to the leaders not to be envious of their subjects but to guide the young ministers faithfully. If Eli was a person like Michaiah, he would have discouraged young Samuel from hearing or diverted his attention; though this can not destroy God’s passage to Samuel, it may cause frustration. The young ministers should also learn from Samuel though God had spoken judgment on Eli and his family, he still went three times at that unholy hour to say here I am. Many young ministers today are not ready to deny themselves for the cause of the ministry. The message revealed to Samuel was greater than him, funny enough, God did not ask him to tell anyone or to do anything about it, how many will receive such a message that is greater and more complicated even though every message is greater than the message, there are some to be delivered and there are some to pray along with, if Eli did not stand on Samuel’s neck he would have not told him. But many will care about the message of God, while some will not display wisdom to deliver the message received; they will deliver it as if they are the owner of the message, and later, wrath will come upon them for preaching themselves. Samuel kept receiving messages from God throughout his life, and none of the words of God got lost; we also need to keep our relationship with God so that He can send us to the people at all times.

2. THE COUNSEL OF GOD SHALL STAND:

Let the world consent together to plan evil against the children of God; they will fail because the counsel of God shall stand. God says that He had carried His people from the womb and cared for them from their younger stages till now, and He will still carry them till their old age to their grey time. Because He is an incomparable God, He is not a man-made God; He is the everlasting God; he is with us anywhere and anytime, and we don’t need to be afraid of evil people. He will deliver us because He draws the salvation of His people closer. A man may plan for thousands of years, and God can destroy the plan within a minute;  we only need to wait on him, and He will fight our battles. His Counsel is the final, and His counsel is our favor; all those things giving you a problem, just ask God; his counsel is ultimate, and whatever may be the case, His counsel shall forever stand.

3.   SEPARATE YOURSELF

The Christians are called to separate themselves from the world, though they are still living in the world but they must abstain from the filthiness of the world. Paul let the Corinthian Church know that there’s no agreement between them and the world nor the idols, for they have to live a holy life to God. The worldly culture is different from that of the Christian, but, sadly, the world has crept into the church and church into the world; our music, dance, outfits, talking, and characters are not distinguishing us from the world because nothing is different. The Christians need to be careful of the things civilization brings to them because God will not accept any excuse from anybody; the same God shall judge the people of all dispensations and eras. And anyone that wants His relationship will separate himself from the world and his body shall be the temple of God. Separate yourself from the world; we have been called out from darkness to the marvelous light of God, nothing in the world except the way that leads to destruction; therefore, cleave to the Lord Jesus Christ, and He will lead you home. The way of the cross is the only way leads to heaven other ways are to hell, only those who walk with Him will be privileged to see Him relating with them, you cannot eat from two tables, from forget about the satanic table and satisfied with the Lord’s table; it shall be well with you in Jesus name.
