1. GOD’S PROMISES SHALL BE FULFILLED

Whatever is pronounced by God comes to pass, though it may be delayed, it will surely be fulfilled. The promise of God towards David seems delayed as he was anointed by Samuel as the king of Israel, yet many years later he was running for his life from the wickedness of Saul. The death of Saul did not bring total fulfillment for David, he was made the king of Judah for seven years. The coming of Abener the Captain of Saul with the promise to bring the kingdom to David was good news but it could not come through since Joab killed Abner on his way. This is how those who put their trust in men used to meet with failures because only God can fulfill plans, if Abner succeeded in bringing Israel back to David he would have placed himself in the position of a god. But the elders of Israel later came to David to bring the promise of God to fulfillment without stress he was made the king over all of Israel as God promised. This is a lesson to all that we should put our trust in God because whatever He promised will be fulfilled. If a man helps you, he might turn you into something else, he may be demanding from time to time but God will surely fulfill His promises in our life; only to wait patiently for Him. There is never disappointment in him, his promises on you shall be fulfilled, He has stipulated time; only wait patiently, and may His promise be fulfilled without delay in Jesus’ name.

2. WORDS OF GOD SHALL NOT BE PROLONGED

What we discuss in number one here might be challenging your mind when would the promise of God be fulfilled? Some have been counting many years waiting for the promise of God, the Israelites also thought as much but God through Ezekiel says “My words shall no more be prolonged, whatever I say shall be fulfilled.” Though the recipient of Ezekiel here was on the negative side thinking to continue, it is the wicked people that will say that the words of God will not come in their lifetime for it will be prolonged. So many wicked people will always think of the extension of the time and God usually gives them time to repent, but until the day of the Lord comes, it shall catch them unrepented. This is why some will think the words of God are delayed, but God says my words shall not be delayed, they shall quickly come to pass. Don’t lose hope of the promises of God towards you it shall come without delay in Jesus’ name.

3. WORSHIP GOD IN THE SPIRIT AND TRUTH

The rule of worshipping God in our dispensation is to worship God in spirit and in truth, unlike the religious people, they will worship with their physical appearance and spoken words, but those to worship God now should be in the spirit and in sincerity. The woman at the well asked for physical water so that she would not come to fetch water again, but Jesus was talking of the water of life, she talked about the traditional worship but Jesus was talking of the spiritual and that is how we have many in the church today with different purposes such as social, tradition, education, peer-group, tribalism, nepotism, miracle, economical to mention a few. But Christianity demands sincerity which is the same as truth from the inner mind towards God. The writer of the Epistle of Romans beseechs us to give ourselves to God as a living sacrifice, which will make our service acceptable to God. We can see how the woman left the pot and became an evangelist to call people out from the city to hear from Jesus. God also wants you and me to leave all our pride to call people to accept Jesus, the woman forgot the barrier of Jesus being a Jew, but she said come and see a man who told me all that I have done. You and I have better testimonies than this woman but we concealed them, somebody needs our testimonies for him to do well, go and tell the people how you are saved. May the Lord give us the power to evangelize the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ to all the people near and far, starting from our nuclear families to the whole world in Jesus’ mighty name.
