Foes in Power…the root cause of Nigeria’s woes.

Lines below from the timeless book seen this morning was an  *aha* moment for me…
Her foes have become her masters;    her enemies are at ease……Her children have gone into exile,    captive before the foe. Lamentations 1

The root cause of Nigeria’s woes is that those who are not friends but foes of Nigeria are in ruling positions.
A president that loves Nigeria and by extension Nigerians will not be planning to buy a yacht, jet while over two thirds of Nigerians cannot afford bread, have no clean water…
Please remember that bread and water,  the food of prisoners…are now luxuries in a Nigeria where her foes rule.
Had their been love for Nigeria, would the senate president laugh at Nigerians protesting because they are hungry? 
Say brazenly and openly ..you be protesting.. we will be eating or something to that effect…?
That about  50 Nigerians died in less than a week  trying to get food, with children being thrown across the fence by their parents for food.. 
wouldn’t this make friends of Nigeria grieve, declare mourning, speak to the nation, announce steps that will be taken to ensure that never again will Nigerians be so hungry that they die for food ….under their watch?
But foes of Nigeria also known as the ruining class are at ease as the scripture says…they cannot feel your pain, 
Nothing about the deaths  changes anything for them  it is  business as usual…laughing while too many Nigerians sink below the basics…no access to good food, healthcare, water and education…electricity becomes elitist…band A, B , C….
Foes of Nigeria will hold media chat and laugh, that they are teaching Nigerians frugality and defend policies that are visibly making Nigeria  a palliative ( throw bread at them) driven economy.
Morale of the story? recognise that you have foes of Nigeria in government, lower your expectations from them and address this root cause….
How is it that those who tell you openly to steal, snatch and run with votes ( your power, your voices, actually your destinies ) are those that you look to for a better life?
Those who told you Emilokan? My my my my my turn…are doing just what they promised…
“I will reduce your spending power and increase tax rates”.
Google it, you will find it..
Brain drain reverse ?

When foes are in power…they will not implement policies that make the youth comfortable in their own country…
Aha moment…foes in power…the root cause..all else symptoms….
