Rekindled

Pt 1

It’s 6am on a rainy Monday morning, Ade wakes up with lots of excitement because today will be his first day at the University. He jumps out of bed and into the bathroom .

Being the first one in his family to get a scholarship into one of the best University in the country, this meant a lot to Ade. That day on his way to school he decided to walk down to school since he woke up early and the University is not far from where he lives.

That morning he noticed a black Van with tinted windows and a customized plate number drive into an uncompleted building. The building belonged to a well known person in the area before he died in a strong way. The owner was a kind and good man when he was alive and for a while no one has been seen in that compound.

For a moment, Ade thought of what could be going on in the building and he wanted to go close to observe things but he looked at his watch , time will no longer be on his side if he  goes close to the uncompleted building because for a while he was there looking at activities going on  so Ade decided to be on his way to school.

While in class, Ade kept thinking of what he saw . There was something about the black Van that got him thinking.

Ayo – penny for your thoughts. What are you thinking?

Ade –  nothing

Ayo –  I have been standing here for more than 5 minutes, you just looked you where far away.

Ade –  just thinking of something I saw on my way to school this morning.

Ayo – what could it be that made you Lost in your thoughts?

Ade –  maybe it’s just me, it probably nothing.

Ayo – hi  am Ayodele , Ayo for shorts nice to meet you.

Ade –  am Adeniji , same here and Ade for shorts.

Ayo –  Fresh man on campus?

Ade – first day.

Ayo – I noticed.

Ade –  is it that obvious?

Ayo – yep, but anyways , you are welcome. am sure you be one of the smart Bees.

Ade – What’s that? “Smart Bees”

          See this JJC…

Ayo – you are a real fresh man, “JJC “

          See kettle calling pot black

They both laughed walking out of the lecture room.

After the close of school, Ade decided to walk back home.

Going through a shot cut, Ade sights the black Van again coming out of another uncompleted building. What’s up with this black Van and uncompleted buildings he thought.. So Ade made up his mind to follow the Van

The van drove to the first building Ade saw it that morning. Ade jumps the fence of the uncompleted building into the compound and then hid behind a water tank.

When the coast was clear, he walked towards the building without anyone noticing him and to his surprise , Ade saw something unexpected and yet unbelievable.
