Disney+ Canada offering $1.99/month promo, right on time for Daredevil and Moana 2

Until the end of March, Canadians can lock in the service at this price for four months

Disney has kicked off a special promotion on Disney+ subscriptions in Canada.

Between March 4 and 30, new and “eligible returning customers” can subscribe to Disney+ Standard with Ads for $1.99/month for four months. This is down from the $8.99/month price of the entry-level Disney+ membership and marks an overall $28 in savings throughout the four-month period.

With Disney+ Standard with Ads, you can stream the service’s full catalogue at up to 1080p resolution, with ads running an average of four minutes or less per hour. It should also be noted that downloads aren’t supported with this membership tier.

This new promotion coincides nicely with some particularly notable title releases on Disney+. For one, March 4 is the same date as the two-episode premiere of Daredevil: Born Again, the hotly anticipated continuation of Marvel’s Daredevil once again starring Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio. The smash hit animated film Moana 2 is also coming to Disney+ on March 12th.
