Hardwork pays off as the winners of the 2024/2025 NPFL title, Remo Stars have received a cash reward from Victor Osimhen.
Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen has generously gifted Remo Stars ₦10 million following their remarkable achievement of clinching the 2024/25 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) title. The donation was divided into two equal parts, with ₦5 million allocated to the players and another ₦5 million to the technical crew.
The Sky Blue Stars secured their maiden NPFL championship by defeating Niger Tornadoes 1-0 at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne. This crucial victory elevated their points tally to 68 after 35 matches, comprising 21 wins, five draws, and nine losses.
Under the leadership of coach Daniel Ogunmodede, the team established a commanding 10-point lead over second-placed Rivers United, who have accumulated 58 points from 16 wins, 10 draws, and nine defeats.
Remo Stars’ success is a historic moment, as they are the first team from the South West region to win the NPFL title since Julius Berger achieved the feat in 1996.
