Foreign Affairs Ministry alerts on fake recruitment

The Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs has distanced itself from an online recruitment scheme fraudulently bearing the signature of the Honourable Minister of Foreign Affairs.

In a statement released on Wednesday by the Ministry’s Spokesperson, Kimiebi Imomotimi Ebienfa, the public was strongly warned against engaging with individuals or groups promoting the fake recruitment exercise.

According to the Ministry, recruitment into the Nigerian Foreign Service is solely handled by the Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC). It emphasised that it neither conducts direct recruitment nor requests payments for job applications or appointments.

“The Ministry unequivocally disassociates itself from this misleading and malicious advertisement and urges the general public to disregard such announcements,” the statement read.

The Ministry urged Nigerians to remain alert and avoid falling victim to job scams, reaffirming its commitment to transparency and integrity in all official dealings.
