Remote WorkHER opens first physical office in lagos to support women in tech

Remote WorkHER, a women-centred tech company focused on remote work and career growth, has opened its first physical office in Lagos. Founded by Adeife Adeoye, the launch marks a new step in its mission to support African women in accessing remote job opportunities and professional development.

The Lagos office is a space designed for training sessions, collaborative work, and community building. It aims to strengthen the platform’s ability to deliver hands-on support and provide a structured environment for learning and growth.

Remote WorkHER began as an online platform and now has a growing community of more than 4,000 members. It has offered free virtual career workshops, a job board, and resource channels tailored to help women navigate remote careers. The platform has also formed partnerships with professionals and organisations in tech, communications, and creative industries to help members access job opportunities and mentorship.

Adeife Adeoye, founder of Remote WorkHER, said the office symbolises progress and ambition: “This space is more than just an office. It represents the dreams, resilience, and drive of African women who are choosing to build bold careers, regardless of location. We are creating a safe and resourceful environment where more women can rise.”

In the past year, the Remote WorkHER has held training on LinkedIn profile development, moving into tech careers, and strategies for freelancing. These sessions have led to more job placements and skill development among members.

The decision to open a physical office reflects the brand’s aim to blend its digital reach with real-world engagement. The new hub will allow members to connect offline, share experiences, and access resources more directly.

Remote WorkHER remains open to collaboration with other platforms and organisations that support its goal of expanding economic access through remote work. Though its primary focus is on women, the platform also welcomes men who support its values around work-life balance and flexibility.

“We are excited about this expansion as it represents the next phase in our journey,” said Adeoye. “The office will serve as a hub for community engagement, career development, and the launchpad for remote work opportunities, helping us create a more inclusive, thriving workforce for women (and men).”
