The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the results for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
This year, over 1.5 million candidates scored below 200 out of almost 2 million students who registered for the exam. Only about 420,415 candidates scored above 200, while fewer than 1% of students scored higher than 300.
Interestingly, 40,247 underage candidates (younger than the official age) sat for the UTME to showcase their abilities. However, only 467 of them met the set standards, and further screening will be done to confirm their performance.
If you took the UTME and want to check your results, here’s an easy guide on how to do it.

Step 3: Click “Check My Results”
Once you submit your details, your UTME result will appear on the screen.

What To Do After Checking Your Result
After checking your UTME score, here’s what you should do:
Compare your score with the cut-off mark of your chosen university, polytechnic, or college.
If you meet the cut-off, prepare for Post-UTME screening or any other admission process.
If your score is low, you can consider changing your course or institution.
Explore alternative options: Some schools like Miva Open University offer admissions without requiring a UTME result.
