Police and paramedics were called to the scene at about 8:50 p.m., when the man was found on the roadway near the intersection of Vanier Parkway and Montreal Road. He had non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital in stable condition.

“The circumstances around how he became injured are unclear,” said Julie Kavanagh, acting manager of media relations for the Ottawa Police Service.
