Rodial’s SPF drops that ‘never pills and powder sits beautifully on top’ of now have 25% off

Every skincare enthusiast knows that SPF is the one product you should be applying to your face daily. It’s the crucial final step in your skincare routine, protecting your skin from the sun’s harmful rays which can cause premature ageing and even skin cancer.

However, we all know that not all facial SPFs are made equal, and many have a sticky or thick texture that doesn’t lend itself well to makeup application. Issues like pilling and creasing are common, as well as causing powders to not settle properly. That’s why these Rodial SPF50 Drops are gaining such a positive reputation.

Offering high factor 50 protection, the SPF Drops shield your skin from damaging UVA and UVB rays, while also providing additional defence against blue light and pollutants. Unlike other SPFs with their heavy cream formulas, these drops have a lightweight serum-like consistency, combining extra skincare benefits with robust sun protection.

The drops are enriched with butterfly bush, known for its antioxidant properties to soothe skin, along with hyaluronic acid and vitamin E, which restore moisture and protect your skin’s natural barrier. Rodial’s SPF50 Drops also support normal collagen production and enhance your skin’s elasticity, keeping it supple, smooth and youthful-looking.

If you’re more inclined towards a traditional liquid formula, Ultra Violette’s Future Fluid SPF 50+ Lightweight Zinc SKINSCREEN is priced at £38 and boasts a similar blend of skin-nourishing ingredients and high sun protection. Alternatively, the Beauty Of Joseon Ginseng Moist Sun Serum is even more budget-friendly, currently on sale for £19.80, down from £22, and features a lightweight serum texture that enhances your skin’s hydration as you wear it.

At present, the Rodial drops are also discounted at LookFantastic, reduced from £75 to £56.25 for a full-size 31ml bottle. However, if that’s a bit steep for your pocket, you can also grab the smaller 10ml bottle for £27 directly from the Rodial website, reports the Mirror.

The price appears to be the only sticking point for shoppers, with the Rodial Drops garnering an impressive 4.75-star review and only ratings of either four or five stars. One four-star reviewer penned: “Great base for drier skin to sit well under makeup. Little pricey but never pills and powder sits beautifully on top for a smooth base.”

Another concurred: “Love the consistency of this spf and how it sits under my base. Pricey but worth it for my skin type.. other SPFs make my base cakey or my skin dries out and the concealer doesn’t sit right. Was recommended this spf by a makeup artist and now I’m hooked.. second bottle.”

While a third chimed in: “Best SPF for face. Doesn’t cause break outs, it is not greasy and works well under makeup. It is the only one I use and I will keep buying it.”
