Ontario Provincial Police are seeking public assistance to find a motorcyclist who allegedly struck an officer after being stopped Tuesday for driving on the shoulder of Highway 417 during rush hour.

In a social-media post, OPP said the motorcyclist was stopped at 4:30 p.m., but then sped off when the officer approached him for questioning, striking the officer.

The officer received minor injuries.
