Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has responded to those who criticise him for his public dancing, saying people should focus on his work as governor instead of his dance moves.
At a recent event, Adeleke spoke out against the negative comments he has received over videos showing him dancing. He explained that dancing is a way for him to express happiness and freedom, and it doesn’t affect how well he does his job.
“Stop judging me because I dance. Dancing brings me joy and doesn’t harm anyone,” he said.
Adeleke also noted that other Nigerian leaders dance publicly too, without the same criticism. “Sanwo-Olu dances, everyone dances. Even Baba (President Bola Tinubu) dances. There’s no rule against a governor dancing,” he added.
He asked the public and political commentators to stop unfair judging and instead evaluate him based on his leadership and achievements.
Governor Adeleke ended by saying his work in office is what matters most, and his dancing should not take attention away from his efforts to serve the people of Osun State.
