Chris Brown breaks silence after UK arrest over nightclub assault case

Popular American R&B star, Chris Brown, has finally spoken out following his recent arrest in the United Kingdom over an alleged nightclub assault.

The Sensational hitmaker was apprehended last Thursday, May 15, 2025, at The Lowry Hotel in Manchester. The arrest of Chris Brown was linked to a 2023 incident at Tape nightclub in Mayfair, London, where a music producer, Abraham Diaw, was reportedly left seriously injured. 36 year-old Brown was charged with grievous bodily harm and held in connection with the case.

In the wake of his release, Chris Brown took to his Instagram story to share a cryptic yet defiant message. He wrote, “FROM THE CAGE TO THE STAGE!!! BREEZYBOWL,” alongside a sleek photo of himself alighting from a private jet. In another post, he added: “Cook, remain humble.”

Authorities confirmed that the Greater Manchester Police made the arrest on behalf of London’s Metropolitan Police. Investigations into the matter are still ongoing.

For now, the singer’s passport remains in police custody but will be temporarily released to enable him to travel for scheduled tour dates in the Netherlands and Germany. However, uncertainty looms over the remainder of his European tour, with no official word yet on performances beyond June 20, 2025.

Despite the legal troubles, many of Brown’s loyal fans have rallied behind him, hoping for a swift and favourable resolution to the case.
