Sven Knudsen Ljaamo, MD, a Veterans Affairs’ physician in Massachusetts, was charged with possessing child sexual abuse material, the Department of Justice (DOJ) announced.

Walgreens will pay $300 million to resolve allegations it illegally filled millions of invalid prescriptions for opioids and other controlled substances and then billed federal healthcare programs, according to the DOJ.

Vault Medical Services agreed to pay $8 million to resolve allegations of submitting false claims to a federal COVID-19 program that provided testing, treatment, and vaccines for uninsured patients, the DOJ said.
