 Lagos Opens Teacher recruitment Portal for 2weeks – Here’s How to Apply

The Lagos State Government has reopened its teacher recruitment portal for two weeks, giving qualified candidates a chance to apply for entry-level teaching roles.

According to a notice from the Lagos State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) released on Tuesday, the portal will accept applications from July 1 through July 14, 2025.

“The Lagos State Teaching Service Commission is reactivating its Recruitment Portal to improve access to teaching jobs, and to ensure equity and fairness in the hiring process,” the notice stated. “This platform will allow applicants to apply for Grade Level 08 teaching positions in their respective fields.”

TESCOM emphasised that this initiative aims to broaden employment opportunities in education while maintaining a transparent, centralised application process. The notice was signed by the Chairman of the Lagos State Teaching Service Commission.

Who Can Apply?

Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.

Meet any subject-specific requirements for primary or junior secondary school teaching.

Visit the Portal
Go to https://tescomjobs.lagosstate.gov.ng in a desktop or mobile browser.

Register an Account
Click “Sign Up”, enter your name, email, and a secure password, then verify your email address.

Complete the Application Form

Select Grade Level 08 (GL 08)

Choose your subject area (e.g., English, Mathematics, Science)

Fill in personal details: date of birth, address, contact number

Enter your educational history and any teaching experience

Upload Documents

Passport-style photograph (JPEG/PNG)

Scanned copies of degree certificate and NYSC discharge or exemption certificate (PDF)

Valid means of identification (National ID, International Passport, or Driver’s License)

Review and Submit
Check all fields for accuracy, then click “Submit Application.”

Print Confirmation Slip
After submission, download and print your confirmation slip. Keep it safe for future reference.
