Alexa Chung steps out in Mango trench coat at Cannes and all sizes are still available

Few can pull off effortless chic quite like Alexa Chung, and her recent ensemble at the Cannes Film Festival only cements her status as a style icon.

Forgoing traditional ballgowns for something a tad more practical, she was spotted in a stylish oversized trench coat from high-street favourite, Mango.

The best bit? This trench is still up for grabs in all sizes. With its sleek tailoring, understated crinkle texture, and roomy fit, we were convinced it was a designer piece, so imagine our delight when we discovered it wasn’t.

While it may not bear a designer label, that doesn’t mean it’s a total steal. Part of Mango’s premium Selection Collection, this trench comes with a price tag of £229.99. But given its luxe appearance and Alexa’s stamp of approval, we reckon it’s worth every penny.

Its khaki colour and lightweight material make it an ideal choice for this unpredictable weather season.

To complete her look, Alexa opted for a simple yet sophisticated French-girl aesthetic, pairing the trench with white straight-leg jeans (find a similar pair at Mango here), a black cami with lace trim (shop a similar one at ASOS here), black sunnies, and a blue and cream canvas tote bag (find a similar one at H&M here), reports the Mirror.

What really grabbed our attention, though, was her unique approach to styling the sleeves of the trench coat. You’ve probably seen that viral trick of using a hairband to gather up the sleeves of your blazer or jacket.

Alexa, on the other hand, chose to use what looks like a statement gold bangle around one of her trench coat sleeves. We adore how this simple hack instantly elevates the outfit.

If you’re in the market for a more wallet-friendly trench coat, Next’s Khaki Green Shower Resistant Trench Coat is a fantastic choice at £65. Meanwhile, River Island’s Khaki Relaxed Wrap Trench Coat, also priced at £65, appears far pricier than its budget-friendly price tag suggests.
