Adesegun Orafidiya receives Africa CIO Award

Adesegun Orafidiya, the head of information and Digital Technology for BAT West and Central Africa (WCA), has received the Africa CIO Award for 2024, presented by the Africa ICT Alliance (AfICTA).

The annual award recognises technology executives who demonstrate leadership in digital innovation across the continent. Recipients are selected based on their contributions to technological advancement and team development.

“Being recognised with this award is an honour,” said Orafidiya. “It reflects the work of many colleagues at BAT WCA. Technology serves as a strategic engine for transformation in our operations.”

With over twenty years in the field, Orafidiya has implemented various digital initiatives at the company, including improvements to internal systems and data-driven decision-making processes.
