Adeyemi Afolayan

Ade Love began his career in the entertainment industry in 1966 when he joined Moses Olaiya’s drama troupe. In 1971, he left to establish his own drama group, which staged comedic plays. He appeared in Ola Balogun’s “Ajani Ogun” in 1976 and later produced and starred in “Ija Ominira” (1979), also directed by Balogun.

Ade Love wrote, produced, and starred in his first film, “Kadara” (1980), which was shown at the ninth Tashkent Film Festival for African and Asian cinema. He went on to produce and star in other notable films such as “Ija Orogun” (1982), “Taxi Driver” (1983), “Iya ni Wura” (1984), and “Taxi Driver 2” (1986).
Ade Love was a prolific filmmaker who left a lasting impact on the Nigerian film industry. He passed away in 1996, but his legacy continues to be celebrated through the work of his children and other family members who have followed in his footsteps.
