When the sun is shining, a summery perfume is the perfect finishing touch to an outfit. Finding an affordable designer fragrance that can liberally be spritzed is often quite a challenge, however, Amazon shoppers have spotted a popular Vera Wang perfume down to a ‘bargain price’.
A 50ml bottle of the Vera Wang Princess Eau de Toilette has been slashed by a huge 72%, bringing its price down to £14.95, rather than £53. The impressive deal makes the perfume currently cheaper at Amazon than it is at Boots, where 100ml is on sale for £40. With fruity and floral notes of apple, guava and vanilla, the scent is ‘elegant, long-lasting and not overpowering’.
More than 54,000 shoppers have left reviews on Amazon for Vera Wang’s Princess, and 78% of those reviews have given five stars. The iconic heart shaped bottle with crystal studded crown lid will look beautiful on any dressing table or bathroom side, plus the 50ml makes it an excellent travel size option for any summer holidays in the calendar.

The opulent fragrance may now be less than £15, but customers that have already got their hands on it have said ‘don’t be fooled by the cheap price, easily as nice, if not nicer, than more expensive brands’. Another person wrote: “This perfume is a beautiful scent for summer and a bargain price. Quick delivery, well packaged. This is the 2nd time i have ordered.”

Proving it will make a thoughtful gift for someone, be it an anniversary, wedding present or for a birthday, a five star reviewer commented: “I bought this perfume for my sister-in-law, and she absolutely loved it! From the moment she sprayed it, she was impressed by the luxurious scent – it’s elegant, long-lasting, and not overpowering. The fragrance has the perfect balance of floral and warm notes, making it ideal for both everyday wear and special occasions. She received so many compliments and has already decided to buy it again for herself.”
Another perfume with similar fragrance notes is the Emporio Armani Diamonds Rose Eau de Toilette. A 50ml bottle is on sale at Boots for £31.33, down from £47, and shoppers say that it is the one perfume ‘people always stop and ask what perfume I am wearing’. Kylie Jenner’s Cosmic Eau de Parfum is £44 for 100ml at LookFantastic. The amber floral fragrance boasts comparable notes of vanilla, musk and jasmine, described by customers as a ‘gorgeous summer perfume’.
But, if it is Vera Wang’s Princess that is on the radar, it’s a perfume that is ‘fit for royalty’ as it ‘transports you to a world of enchantment and elegance’, according to shoppers. A popular and important point is how long-lasting it is. Someone said: “Another remarkable aspect of Vera Wang Princess is its longevity. The fragrance lasts for hours without losing its vibrancy or intensity. A few spritzes in the morning are enough to keep you enveloped in its captivating scent throughout the day, ensuring a continuous aura of sophistication and allure.”
This means wearers won’t have to constantly be re-applying, or using the perfume up quickly. Giving it four stars, another wrote: “Vera Wang Princess Eau de Toilette is a playful yet elegant blend of fruity and floral notes, balanced with warm vanilla and amber undertones. Its moderate longevity and light sillage make it perfect for everyday wear, especially in spring and summer. Encased in a whimsical heart-shaped bottle, it’s a delightful choice for those who love sweet, youthful fragrances.”
However, a disappointed reviewer shared that the scent is ‘nothing to write home about’, despite saying that the ‘price was good’. Another said ‘my expectations were too high’, going on to add ‘it’s an okay perfume’.
This wasn’t the case for another user, explaining: “This perfume is the perfect “every day” scent as it still smells like a lovely good quality perfume, but is affordable and isn’t too overpowering! Easy to wear and the scent seems to last well considering it’s a lighter scent. It’s a slightly sweet/fruity floral scent, but isn’t just for summer.
