*Today’s Reminder*
As-salaam alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu
*I bear witness that there is nothing worthy of worship besides Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad (peace and blessing of Allah be upon him) is a Messenger of Allah.*
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
*And seek the Forgiveness of Allah, certainly, Allah is Ever Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.*
(Qur 4:106)
*Abu Hurairah (RA) narrates: I heard the Messenger of Allah (SAW) saying: “By Allah! I seek Allah’s Forgiveness and turn to Him in repentance for more than seventy times a day.”*
(Bukhari)
Allah (SWT) has assured our Noble Prophet (Muhammad – SAW) that his previous, present and future sins were forgiven. Yet, he (SAW) still seeks Allah’s Forgiveness for *more than* seventy times *in a day!*
Despite the fact that:
~ no such assurance (of Forgiveness) has been given to us;
~ we commit sins and disobey Allah several times;
we are still nonchalant about seeking Forgiveness of our sins from Allah who is *Ever-Ready* to forgive and show mercy.
May Allah (SWT) give us a heart of repentance, and may He forgive and overlook our shortcomings.
