Average Diesel Prices Soar by 50% in One Year – NBS

According to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), the average price of automotive gas oil (Diesel) paid by consumers jumping 50% over the past year, from N836.91 per litre in February 2023 to N1,257.06 per litre in February 2024.

The rising cost of diesel is adding to the cost of living for consumers and businesses, as many industries rely on diesel-powered generators for electricity.
