Following the confirmation of the list of nominees for the 2025 Grammy Awards, singers, Ayra Starr and Tyla have taken to social media to react to the three nominations received by Tems ahead of the 67th edition of the prestigious award ceremony.

Ayra Starr and Tyla had been categorised as 2 of the biggest snubs by the Recording Academy following the lack of nominations for the two stars but this didn’t damper or deter their mood as they both took to social media to celebrate Tems who defied all odds and logic by receiving 3 nominations on the night making her the most nominated African act at the Grammy Awards 2025.

Tems received a nomination in a key category that has once been considered unattainable for African artists: the Best R&B Song category, followed by the Best Global Album and Best African Music Performance categories, respectively.

Tyla shared a message of congratulations for Tems on her page, and Ayra Starr also retweeted Tems’s post, expressing her excitement at the nomination.
