Best men’s fragrances for Father’s Day 2025 Dolce&Gabbana Devotion For Men Eau de Parfum Currently from £66.40 for 50ml from Debenhams (usual price £83)
Inspired by espresso with a twist of lemon
(Image: Debenhams)
The fashion house truly embraces its Mediterranean heritage with this seductive scent. Drawing inspiration from the Sicilian custom of adding a lemon twist to your daily espresso as you bask in a sun-drenched town square watching life pass by, it harmoniously blends rich and spicy coffee notes with zesty citruses and earthy patchouli.
Davidoff Cool Elixir Parfum Currently from £33.60 for 30ml from Debenhams (usual price £42)
A new twist on a classic
(Image: Debenhams)
An intense new twist on a classic, this parfum gives Davidoff’s trademark oceanic notes a decidedly more exotic spin with notes of lavandin and rose oxide, plus a rich oud base. Don’t let these floral-sounding ingredients confuse you; this is a take on the ‘fougère’ fragrance family, traditionally men’s scents, and one that’s full of character.

(Image: Sephora)
The BOSS Bottled perfumes are great failsafe options if you’re not sure of your recipient’s exact olfactory tastes and, as its name suggests, this one is the strongest and most long-lasting of the lot, with the highest concentration of its key notes of leather, incense, patchouli and cedarwood. Rich and warm yet with universal appeal, it’s guaranteed to delight.

An energetic and youthful scent
(Image: Debenhams)
This bottle from Parisian fashion house Cerruti 1881 looks like something from the Da Vinci Code, and you even need to complete a little puzzle to open it (the ‘V’ needs to be lined up with the ‘1881’ to open the lid). Meaning ‘alive’, inside you’re rewarded with an energetic and youthful scent, with hints of ginger, apple, sesame and saffron.
MESSI Eau De Parfum From £44 for 100ml from The Fragrance Shop
One for football fans
(Image: The Fragrance Shop)
Ever wondered what the scent of arguably the greatest footballer of all time would be? According to his new fragrance, it’s a blend of fresh cardamom, wild cypress, leather (perhaps a nod to football boots?) and vanilla bean. Much like the man himself, it’s subtle and understated, making it a perfect addition to your gym bag or an everyday spritz.
Barbour Coastal For Him Intense Eau De Parfum From £77 for 100ml from The Fragrance Shop
One from the country clothing brand
(Image: The Fragrance Shop)
Inspired by a brisk walk along the rugged Northumberland coast, Barbour’s classic country gent has crafted this fragrance. Rabanne Million Gold Elixir Eau De Parfum From £85 for 50ml from Boots
Million Gold Elixir Eau De Parfum by Rabanne
(Image: Boots)
Shopping for a dad with a taste for luxury? While an actual gold bar might be a stretch, this new Rabanne EDP is the next best thing. Sensual, confident and opulent, it’s centred around vanilla – a rare find in men’s fragrances – which gives it a warm decadence. Paired with zingy bergamot and spicy cardamom, it’s a confidence boost with every spritz.

Inspired by the sea
(Image: Debenhams)
No one masters aquatic scents quite like Issey Mayake, and this latest intense version is inspired by the enigmatic depths of the ocean. Sichuan pepper jolts your senses upon first whiff, akin to a splash of water to the face, complemented by invigorating notes of lemon and balsam fir, and a base of cedarwood. It’s refined freshness encapsulated in a bottle.
