The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), under the directive of FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, has sealed the national headquarters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Abuja over unpaid ground rent.
On Monday afternoon, FCTA officials arrived at Wadata Plaza, the PDP’s national secretariat located in Wuse Zone 5, and locked the main entrance, effectively restricting access to the premises.
The action is part of a wider clampdown by the FCTA on defaulting organizations that have failed to settle their ground rent obligations. The PDP now joins a growing list of high-profile establishments including Access Bank and the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) recently sealed by the FCTA for similar reasons.
This latest development comes amid ongoing internal party tensions, especially involving Minister Wike, who has reportedly withdrawn from all previous agreements with the PDP leadership.
More details to follow as the story develops.
