THE ADEBISI IDIKAN HOUSE Sanusi Adebisi Idikan (1882 – 1938) First Notable Ibadan Entrepreneur and Philanthropist Sanusi Adebisi Idikan was born in 1882 in Ibadan during the reign of Aare Latoosa, the Baale of Ibadan, and he passed away in 1938, during the reign of his close friend and father-in-law, Olubadan Okunola Abass Aleshinloye. Despite being a prominent figure of his time, Sanusi remained an unsung hero. Adebisi’s father, Adesina, migrated from Efon Alaaye (Ijesha stock) in present-day Ondo State. He was an itinerant Ofi cloth weaver—a traditional Yoruba fabric used for ceremonies, marriages, burials, and more. Source: Suulola Ayomi
