Fans of 1994’s Donkey Kong, rejoice
Nintendo has added two classic Game Boy games to its Switch Online service.
First up is 1994’s Donkey Kong, a puzzle-platformer continuation of the DK arcade game that would eventually lead to the Mario vs. Donkey Kong series. The other new Nintendo Switch Online addition is 1995’s Mario’s Picross, a cult classic puzzle game featuring Picross puzzles based on the Mario franchise.
Both games are included with the base Nintendo Switch Online membership, which costs $4.99/month or $24.99/year. The more expensive Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership, which is priced at $63.99/year and includes GBA, N64 and Genesis games, also includes Game Boy titles like Donkey Kong and Mario’s Picross.

The new Switch Online games come just under one month before the long-awaited Nintendo Switch 2 Direct on April 2. The company says we’ll learn a lot more about the console-handheld hybrid during that presentation, and hopefully, that will include pricing and release timing beyond a general 2025 window.
