I was about running when my dad suddenly caught me and asked where I was going to.

seem his spirit was telling him am about to run I told him, I need to rush to saloon to make my hair and he quickly called out the guard to accompany me of which I refused.

But he insisted while walking with the guard so many thoughts were ringing in my head on what I should do next.

“Ebere think of a plan think fast”

This was what my instincts were telling me

Suddenly we got to the salon and I called out Nifemi to come make my hair.

The so called guard stood right beside me I had to warn him seriously.

While Nefimi was loosing my hair I sent the guard to get me coke

He refused to go, this got me angry and I told him if you allow me to report you to Ebuka he won’t take it likely with You.

And you would be in trouble. I picked up my phone pretending to call.

He quickly grab the money from me and rushed out I quickly pick my bag told Nefimi I want to urinate

I ran to the bush path and took to my heels

I ran as fast as my legs could carry me

The vigilante guard noticed all wasn’t well and started looking for me. I couldn’t run fast but I was smarter than he was I hide myself on the tree top while I watch him wonder in the forest

He got tired and ran back to the village .I rushed down from the tree and made my way to the park where I will get a bus to Onisha some of my relatives coming for my wedding saw me in the park and asked were I was goin I told them am rushing to Onisha to get some items.

The Onisha car was left with two seat I quick pay for it and the driver began the journey.

my mind wasn’t at rest yet I was still restless

At about 6pm I got to Onisha one of the driver asked were I was going I told him Lagos and he was like.

“You would have to wait till 11pm to get Lagos car I was so scared because I wouldn’t want anyone that knows me to see me I went to a mechanic workshop near by and stayed there far away from open view.

While I was there suddenly I saw Ebuka and his Guard searching for me seriously

I quickly rush into the mechanic room and stayed there “the man who owes the shop was curious to ask it seems you are hiding from someone”

I replied Yes

And he said who I said that old man over there on red Cap Ebuka was asking shops by shop if they have seen any girl on pink gown, sooner he got to the shop I was hiding and the man said, the girl you are looking for just took a bus going to Abuja.

EBUKA shouted chimo!! my collateral!!

EBUKA was crying like a man who had just lost his farm land to fire outbreak.

I was looking through the window watching him cry like a baby..

Sooner some of the guard pick him up and console him

I was so happy with much joy in my heart.

I rushed to thank the mechanic man for his help he was curious to know why I was hiding and why would an elderly man be crying like that did you steal his money”?

I shouted no sir!!

That old man crying wants to marry me

And my parents have agreed but I still need to go to school

The mechanic man was shocked!

This old man want to marry you !!

What is this world Turing into he prayed for me and said he’s proud of me and further top up my transportation fair to Lagos it was 10pm the bus to Lagos suddenly arrived.

I quickly rushed and grab a comfortable sit as the journey was a very far journey according to Nneka.

Exactly 11pm the car took off

This time around I was Soo happy I felt this deep freedom within me and I told my self that I will never return to this village ever again.

I plug in my ear phone and played “I believe I can fly” by R Kelly.

I was so happy

Suddenly I slept off

I woke up and check my phone it was already 5am.

We where already in Lagos

I check through the window and saw beautiful buildings this was my first time on traveling to a big city

The joy within me was unmerited

I quickly called Nneka to inform her I was in town she was so happy and sent me the address

I quickly got down from the car I took a bus to the address
