Nigerian Afrobeats superstar, Davido, has been announced as one of the headline performers at the highly anticipated 2025 Essence Festival of Culture.
The festival, which will take place in New Orleans, Louisiana, promises an exciting lineup of celebrated international and American artists.
Scheduled for Saturday, July 5, 2025, Davido will share the 2025 Essence Festival of Culture stage with some of the biggest names in soul, R&B, reggae, and Afrobeats. The event will be headlined by Grammy-winning singer Jill Scott, presenting A Philly Jawn showcase featuring Jazmine Sullivan and the legendary Patti LaBelle.
Also confirmed for the star-studded night is a special performance by neo-soul icon Erykah Badu, alongside appearances from reggae veteran Buju Banton, R&B sensation Summer Walker, and Ghanaian-American artist Moliy. R&B singer Donell Jones will also deliver a special Super Lounge performance.
The 2025 Essence Festival of Culture, presented in partnership with Coca-Cola, remains one of the largest celebrations of Black music, culture, and community in the United States, annually drawing thousands of fans from around the world to the city of New Orleans.
Davido’s inclusion in this year’s lineup continues to affirm the global rise and influence of Afrobeats on major international stages. His upcoming performance is expected to thrill audiences with his energetic stage presence and chart-topping hits.
