The driver received an immediate 30-day driving suspension and a 14-day vehicle impound.

They now face a one-year driving prohibition and minimum $2,000 fine upon conviction.

In addition, police noted the speeding charge means the driver has to restart the province’s graduated licensing program from the beginning.
