Everything We Know So Far About MobLand Season 2

Everything We Know So Far About MobLand Season 2

MOBLAND HAS TURNED into one of the hottest new shows on Paramount+ in just a matter of months, growing a dedicated fanbase in just the short time since the show’s first season kicked off back on March 30. If you haven’t watched it yet, you’re missing out on a gripping crime drama.

However, as MobLand wraps up its first season (with the season finale premiering on Paramount+ on June 1), there’s still plenty of time to catch up.

The series stars Tom Hardy as Harry Da Souza, a fixer for a British crime family. Pierce Brosnan plays the patriarch Conrad Harrigan, and Helen Mirren is Maeve Harrigan. Rounding out the Harrigan family is Conrad and Maeve’s son, Kevin, played by Paddy Considine (House of the Dragon).

If the stacked cast wasn’t eye-catching enough, MobLand has had episodes directed by Guy Ritchie (Wrath of Man, The Gentlemen) and is written by Jez Butterworth (Ford v. Ferrari, The Ferryman).

Now that season 1 is in the rearview mirror, fans are wondering if there’s any news—hopefully good news—about a season 2 of MobLand. Luckily, we’ve got some.

Will MobLand return for Season 2?

Paramount

Yes! On June 23rd, MobLand was officially renewed for a second season, and it was announced that the show was the #2 Paramount+ original series ever (behind only Landman).

“With more than 26 million viewers and climbing, MobLand has become a resounding triumph–driven by the creative brilliance of Guy [Ritchie] , Jez [Butterworth], Ronan [Bennett] and David Glasser, and brought to life by the powerhouse performances of Tom [Hardy], Pierce [Brosnan], and Helen [Mirren],” Chris McCarthy, Co-CEO of Paramount and President of Showtime/MTV Entertainment said in a statement. “We are elated to greenlight a second season of this global phenomenon, which has dominated both domestic and international charts and soared to #1 in the UK.”

Hardy had previously seemed hopeful that MobLand would continue for at least a few more seasons.

“The plan is definitely to see more seasons,” he said in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter in April. “The question is: Does it become international? There are international elements to organized crime, which are touched on in season one and the control of drugs and ammunition and weapons and people and all kinds of things that go through Europe and from Africa through to South America, Pakistan and the variable commodities that move around Europe.”

“There are families that are involved in each European country that are vying for power to have that status to be able to move these kind of commodities through and who polices that and how that fits into a world stage,” he added.

Who will be in the MobLand Season 2 cast?

Paramount

Viewers can expect to see all of the main cast members returning. Hardy seems hopeful to be continuing on as Harry.

MobLand’s producer David Glasser also gave some insight into a second season during an interview with Deadline in March. “Yes, there will be,” he said. “Same team, same everybody. Everybody’s coming back. One big family.”

When will MobLand Season 2 come out?

Paramount

There isn’t an official release date for MobLand season 2 yet. Season 1 began production in November 2024 and wrapped in March 2025, as a few other cast members joined to film in London during that time. According to MovieWeb, the season was finished only four days before it began airing on Paramount+.

It’s likely that season 2 will follow a similar timeline, but with some of the production bumps ideally smoothed out. Hopefully, fans won’t have to wait too long though to watch more episodes of the fascinating mob drama.
