he multi-dimensional advantages of switching over to the use of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) in powering people’s energy needs, was echoed at a Private Educational Launch Forum held at Lagos recently.
The event jointly organised by LGV-Gas Systems and Gastech Energy Solutions Limited was attended by experts and stakeholders in the energy, gas, electrical and architectural sectors.
Speaking at the event, the Managing Director of LGV Gas Systems, Femi Fanoiki that the forum was meant to inform, educate and familiarise stakeholders and the general public on the latest technologies, developments and advantages of using LNG to power their domestic and industrial energy appliances.
Fanoiki assured that the LPG was green and more environmentally-friendly, which subsequently reduces gas emissions.
He disclosed that from all evidences backed by research and data, it is cheaper, safer and more reliable to use gas-powered facilities than electricity, stressing that many companies have cut down their expenses on energy by switching over to gas.
He added: “We provide energy audit services and advise on how projects can take advantage of cheap and available gas to replace expensive and unreliable electricity to drive applications such as power generation and water heating, resulting in real savings.”
He said that LGV-Gas Systems has in the past 40 years been a trail-blazer as Nigeria’s leading provider of centralised liquefied petroleum gas distribution systems, stressing that they have latched on to that niche to ensure that its gas distribution to many top notch residential, commercial and industrial places remain safe, clean, cheap and reliable.
Fanoiki added that LGV-Gas Systems’ core competencies centred on gas network design, system implementation and maintenance, among others.
“With a penchant for safety, we design a gas network system that delivers gas from a central storage tank to all the units in your multi- development. It is ideal for apartment buildings, estates, shopping malls and industrial parks,” he said.
The Managing Director of Gastech Energy Solutions, Edet lnyang said that the evolution of gas-powered energy has continued to grow, adding that many companies are fast switching over from electricity to gas to power their facilities.
He added that Gastech Energy Solutions as an innovative and proactive firm was involved in deploying latest technologies in maximizing the benefits of gas use.
He disclosed that his firm has introduced the use of gas water heaters, which is turning out to be a game changer in terms of cost saving, safety, convenience and reliability.
