A 36-year-old Gatineau man is in custody and facing numerous charges, including pointing a firearm and making threats, after being arrested by Gatineau police in mid-April.

Just after 10:30 p.m. on April 13, police were called to a residence on Dumas Street in the Hull sector after a report about a verbal conflict that had allegedly escalated, police said in a news release Monday.

“During this conflict, threats were reportedly made and a possible firearm was pointed at the victims,” they said.

That night, a perimeter was established and the task force was called to the scene to assist.

At 7:15 the following morning, a search warrant for a firearm and drugs was executed. Yann Meunier-Bourassa was arrested and faces 14 charges, including pointing a firearm, possession of a prohibited device or ammunition, robbery, making threats, assault and failure to comply with a probation order.

During the search of the home, police said they seized 10.77 grams of cocaine, three methamphetamine tablets and more than $300.
