Death Stranding 2: On the Beach also got a June 2025 release date alongside a big 10-minute trailer
A concert based on the acclaimed Death Stranding video game series is coming to Canada.
As part of a big panel at SXSW on Sunday featuring series creator Hideo Kojima (Metal Gear), the Death Stranding Strands of Harmony was revealed. Produced in partnership with Soho Live (Stardew Valley: Festival of Seasons), the special concert will include music from 2019’s Death Stranding and this year’s Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, including songs from Ludvig Forssell, Low Roar and other artists, alongside HD projections of footage from both games.
The Strands of Harmony World Tour will premiere on Nov. 8, 2025 in Sydney, with two Canadian stops a few months later:
March 26, 2026 — Montreal (Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier)
March 28, 2026 — Toronto (Meridian Hall)
Tickets go on sale for both concerts on March 12 at 10 a.m. EST.
The Canadian shows are being presented in partnership with Kashamara Productions, the Toronto-based company that’s worked on the likes of Dragon Ball: Symphonic Adventure, Stardew Valley: Festival of Seasons and the upcoming Marvel Studios Infinity Saga Concert Experience.
The Death Stranding concert is one of several SXSW announcements related to the Kojima Productions series. At the festival, Kojima confirmed that Death Stranding 2: On the Beach will launch on PlayStation 5 on June 26, 2025. A big 10-minute trailer for the action-adventure game was also revealed:
As it stands, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is one of two big first-party PS5 games confirmed for this year, the other being Sucker Punch’s Ghost of Tsushima sequel, Ghost of Yōtei.
