Ontario Provincial Police say they suspect a 63-year-old man whose body was found in the Ottawa River near Clarence-Rockland last weekend was a victim of homicide.

In a news release Friday, OPP identified the victim as Robert Prevost.

Prevost was last seen in February and was reported missing in March.

First responders pulled the body out of the water near Dallaire Street in Clarence-Rockland at about 5:30 p.m. on May 17.

Russell County OPP asked anyone with information about Prevost’s death to contact them at 1-888-310-1122.
