Looking for an easier way to ensure you’re getting all the supplements you need? David Beckham has partnered with a team of scientists to create IM8, a dissolvable drink packed with 92 different nutrients, including vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and pre-, pro- and post-biotics – and perhaps the secret behind how he’s ageing so well, as the former footballer turns 50.

“Health and wellness have always been a priority for me, both on and off the field,” said David. “I wanted to create something that makes it easier for everyone to feel their best, every day. With IM8, we’ve done that. These are products my family and I take, and they’ve made a real difference in how we feel. We’ve brought together some of the best minds in science to make something truly unique, and I’m thrilled to be able to share it with the world.” Retailing at £99 for 30 servings (or £79 with a subscription), travel sachets are also available, starting from £89.

If, like me, you’ve been tempted by popular green powder AG1, you might find IM8 a game-changer. I swapped my usual early morning coffee for this for a month – here’s how I got on…

Pros Tastes nice Very easy to take Developed by scientists and its claims are trustworthy Removes the need to take lots of different capsules, gummies and supplements Ideal if you don’t like swallowing pills I felt brighter and fresher after drinking this every morning My skin looked better Cons It’s expensive It does get a little bit gritty when you get near the end of the glass (best to take it all in one go) Need to take it consistently and over time to see results Hard to say that the changes I noticed were definitely because of taking this

IM8 review First up, it looks very smart. I received a box contains a sachet of the powder, a metal scoop, an insulated cup and a ‘forever’ tin, which looks chic enough for me to keep out on my kitchen worktop, reports the Mirror.

Normally, I’d hit the button on my Nespresso machine as soon as I wake up. However, for a month, I started each day by mixing a scoop of this powder in my IM8 cup with about 350ml of cold water and downing it almost immediately.

I’m actually quite fond of the green, earthy taste of AG1, but I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea. The acai and mixed berries flavour of IM8, on the other hand, tastes more like squash – not really my thing, but it’s OK, and easy to drink.

Usually, after fuelling up with a coffee or three throughout the morning, I’m seriously flagging by lunchtime. But swapping my usual caffeine fix for this kept me feeling alert for hours (OK, I still had one coffee later in the morning, but there was much less of the usual highs and lows that I usually experience).

The most significant change I noticed, however, was in my skin. I’d been battling breakouts for months, but my skin is much clearer now. Of course, I can’t say for certain that it was all down to taking IM8 (I had also tried some new skincare products and had a recent facial), but I’m convinced it played a part.

What I loved most was knowing that I was getting so much goodness into my body in one go. I usually take a variety of different supplements, including probiotics, iron liquids and sugar-free gummies, but this includes a whole host of beneficial vitamins, minerals, adaptogens, biotics and more (you can read the full list of ingredients here).

While the £79 monthly cost of IM8 is a major drawback, making it an item I can’t regularly splurge on, for someone who spends heaps on daily supplements, it might actually be a bargain. Though AG1 slightly edges out for me with its ‘green’ taste, I’m certainly tempted to grab another pack of IM8 when I need a boost.

Next on my list is Protein Works’ “All In” A.I. Greens, which at the reduced price of £34.99 for 30 servings and boasting 172 health claims, is worth experimenting with – so stay tuned for my update.
