As spring approaches, I’m eager to welcome the new season with a fresh, radiant complexion that’s hydrated and smooth, and to achieve this, it’s time to scrutinise my skincare routine. Any skincare enthusiast will tell you that it’s crucial to tweak your regimen as each new season rolls in, given that fluctuating weather and temperatures often demand different care for your skin.
However, regardless of how meticulously you’ve put together your skincare routine, we all know there’s nothing quite like the post-spa radiance that your skin seems to exude after a facial. So, I decided to revamp my spring skincare routine with spa-inspired products from luxury brand Germaine de Cappucini, hoping to maintain that spa-like glow at home.

The brand is renowned for its spa-grade products and treatments, designed specifically to deliver a spa experience every time you use them. Now one of Europe’s leading luxury skincare brands, Germaine de Cappucini products can be found in spas everywhere, with the added perk of being able to purchase these products for home use.
Keeping my dry, sensitive skin in mind, I opted for four ultra-hydrating products that also addressed some of my other skincare concerns, such as early signs of ageing and dullness. The four I selected are:
Excel Therapy O2 Comfort and Youth Cleansing Milk, £44 Timexpert Hydraluronic Hyaluronic 3D Force Serum, £56 Timexpert Hydraluronic Plumping Moisturising Cream Rich Sorbet, £65 Timexpert Premier The Cream, £180

Each of the four products I picked are specially designed to restore deep hydration and moisture to your complexion. Given the havoc winter has wreaked on my skin, I was eager to try them out.
The immediate improvement in the look and feel of my skin after the first use left me genuinely shocked. So much so, that during a FaceTime call with my mum an hour later, she asked (without any prompting) if I’d had a facial because my skin was glowing so much.
However, to truly reap the benefits, you of course need more than one application. So I stuck to my new routine for several weeks to see just how effective it could be.
How I found each Germaine de Cappucini product My experience with each of the products was nothing short of amazing. The first thing that struck me about each product was the absence of any chemical or artificial smell; they all had a soft, sweet, and fresh aroma, coupled with a delightful texture that instantly melted into my skin.
The Excel Therapy O2 Comfort and Youth Cleansing Milk absorbed quickly into my skin and rinsed off effortlessly, without leaving any residue or causing dryness or tightness. It proved excellent at removing stubborn makeup and offered protection against external aggressors and signs of ageing while oxygenating your face to leave it glowing – a true all-rounder.

The Timexpert Hydraluronic Hyaluronic 3D Force Serum was my chosen serum, and it didn’t disappoint. It promises 24-hour hydration while plumping and filling the skin from within, and it certainly delivered.
I really liked its gel-like texture, a refreshing change from other hyaluronic acids that can feel sticky or gloopy. It absorbed instantly into my skin, and after a few weeks of use, I noticed a visible reduction in fine lines and a more plump complexion.
As any dry skin sufferer will attest, the right moisturiser can make or break your skincare routine. I opted for the Timexpert Hydraluronic Plumping Moisturising Cream Rich Sorbet as my daytime moisturiser, drawn to its lightweight texture and protective properties against external aggressors – perfect for keeping my skin safeguarded on the go.
The cream comes in various consistencies, and I chose the ‘Rich’ sorbet due to my skin’s dryness. Despite being wonderfully light, it felt like it penetrated deeply into my skin, leaving it plumped and hydrated even at day’s end.
My favourite of the Germaine de Cappucini products My standout product from the range has to be the Timexpert Premier The Cream. At £180 it’s quite an investment, but from the first application, I was blown away by how incredible it made my skin feel.
The cream has a fluffy, whipped texture that goes on quite thick, so it might not be your go-to if you’re planning to apply makeup afterwards. But as a night cream, it’s pure bliss.
The Timexpert Premier The Cream is tailored for dry to very dry skin and combats ageing signs from the inside out while delivering a hydration surge. It tackles everything from wrinkles and sagging to uneven skin tone and dryness, and I genuinely felt it delivered on all fronts.
If I had to pick one skincare product to take to a desert island, this would be it. It might be a bit too rich when summer rolls around and my skin needs less moisture, but for the chillier months it’s an absolute must-have.
If you’re in the market for something a bit lighter for the warmer months, I’m also a big fan of Tatcha’s The Dewy Skin Cream, which retails at £67 for a 50ml pot. It’s a more lightweight moisturiser that hydrates and leaves skin looking and feeling softer and brighter, reports the Mirror.
