‘Iconic London’s new bronzing drops gave me the perfect holiday tan without the sun’

As a fair-skinned girl, achieving a natural tan can be quite the challenge. It demands hours of sunbathing and given the UK’s notorious lack of sunshine, coupled with the risk of skin damage, it’s just not worth the hassle for me anymore. Therefore, I’m forever on the hunt for a bronzing product that can mimic that natural, sun-kissed glow.

And I reckon I’ve stumbled upon my new go-to. Iconic London launched its new Bronzing Elixir, priced at £25, just last week, and it’s already claimed a prime spot in my makeup collection.

This hydrating, tinted elixir is unlike any other bronzing drops I’ve tried. Instead of a creamy serum, it has a much more liquid consistency and almost behaves like a stain (though it washes off easily).

Filled with skin-nourishing, hydrating ingredients such as hyaluronic acid and lemon water, this product gives a healthy, radiant glow that makes you look like you’ve just returned from a two-week tropical holiday, reports the Mirror.

Iconic London Bronzing Elixir review Bronzing drops have been all the rage over the past few years, and I can confidently say I’ve tried a good number of them. While I’ve rated most of them highly, Iconic’s version stands out due to its unique formula.

My main issue with bronzing drops is that they tend to accumulate in my hairline or become patchy as the day progresses, but I didn’t encounter any of these problems with the Bronzing Elixir.

This versatile product can be blended with your favourite moisturiser or skin tint, or worn solo for a more intense effect. I gave both methods a try and found that applying it directly to my skin was the winning formula.

A bi-phase bronzing elixir that combines bronzing pigments with hydrating ingredients including hyaluronic acid and lemon water, to create a sunkissed, radiant complexion.

For a flawless application, I suggest pouring a small amount onto your hand (be careful, it’s quite runny) and using a dense brush to blend it in. Don’t forget to give the bottle a good shake before use to make sure the pigment is evenly mixed.

What I love about this Bronzing Elixir is its buildable nature, allowing you to control your desired level of bronze. I also appreciate the sheer consistency, which leaves a natural finish.

At first, I was a bit worried as it looked quite shimmery on my hand, but once applied, there was no hint of glitter, just a gorgeous, luminous glow.

Finding fault with this bronzing gem is tough. The only thing worth noting is that it dries down to a fairly matte finish, so if you’re after that ultra-dewy look (and are using this product alone), you might want to layer on an extra glow-enhancing product.

This has quickly become my go-to for a quick sun-kissed boost. However, some other bronzing favourites in my make-up bag include: First Aid Beauty Bronze And Glow Drops With Niacinamide, £26; Isle of Paradise Sunny Serum, £15.95; and e.l.f. SKIN Bronzing Drops, £12.
