Invincible Chelsea set a remarkable record in England

The women team of Chelsea Football Club wrote their name into the history book of the Barclay’s Women’s Super League.

Chelsea wrapped up the season as the Champions of the league without tasting defeat in the 22 games played. The team won 19 games and drew just three of those games scoring 56 goals, conceding 13, and keeping 13 clean sheets.

This is also a record-breaking moment for Sonia Bompastor who joined the club from Paris Saint Germain’s women’s team at the end of the 2023/24 football season. Chelsea have won the league title for six consecutive seasons from 2020 to 2025 and their ninth in the history of the competition.

Chelsea has an FA Cup final against Manchester United to prepare for and the chance to win a domestic treble.
