*TOPIC: IRON SHARPENS IRON*
_*”Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend” Proverbs 27:17.*_
*MESSAGE*
There are two categories of people you will meet in life; some will be like ‘iron’ and the others will be like ‘wood’. While ‘iron’ are those who believe in your dreams and visions for a better future, ‘woods’ are those who do not think in with your goals. If we reason like this, few examples will come to mind from the bible. *Lot was a ‘wood’ to Abraham, and likewise, Achan was a ‘wood’ to Israel (Genesis 13:8-12; Joshua 7:20-26).* Anybody who envies your dreams is a ‘wood’ to you; you must pray them out of your life.
A ‘wood’ is any hum an that does not ignite the fire of Prayer, Bible study or Holiness in you. When somebody always reports others to you or always gossips about other people’s mistakes to you, that person is a ‘wood’ to you. A ‘wood’ is that individual who does not discuss scriptures or daily devotional, but only discusses fashion, hairstyles, latest cars, shoes, TV series programmes, and other sensual things. We have to do away with such people, just as the Bible teaches us to *”set our affection on things above, not things on the earth” (Colossians 3:2).*
An ‘iron’ is the opposite of all that we have said about ‘wood’. The ‘iron’ can be a younger or older person—even a child—but such a person will be like BARNABAS to SAUL (Acts 9:27; 13:2, 46; 15:39). Such a person will be there for you, support your vision and build up your prayer and meditation life. I pray that the Lord will flush every ‘wood’ out of your life and connect you to greater ‘irons’ in Jesus name.
*ACTION POINT*
Watch out for ‘wood’ in your life today; run away from them.
