Meghan Markle’s new Netflix show and podcast have been making waves, sparking a surge in interest in the Duchess’s fashion choices, favourite products and personal preferences. Luckily for us, she’s shared many of these gems with her followers, including some that are easily accessible and affordable right here in the UK – like this £26 moisturiser from Boots.
Among Meghan’s previously listed favourites on her shopping site was Summer Fridays’ top-selling Lip Butter Balm in the shade Iced Coffee, which is also a hit with celebs such as Kim Kardashian and Coleen Rooney. As someone who constantly battles dry lips and usually has about a dozen lip balms on the go, I was eager to find out what makes this one so popular – and after giving it a try, I totally get the buzz…

Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balm retails at £23 and comes in a variety of flavours and colours. While there are definitely cheaper lip balms out there, I’ve found that the Summer Fridays balm lasts for ages – I’ve had mine for months and it’s still going strong.
I’m personally a fan of the untinted options like Vanilla or Birthday Cake, but Meghan’s preferred Iced Coffee flavour is a lovely sheer brown. The best part? Each balm has a scent that matches its shade, and they all smell absolutely divine, reports the Mirror.
These Lip Butter Balms are also a dream to use. They’re made with shea and murumuru seed butters, and vegan waxes, making them super nourishing without being sticky or gloopy. Plus, they leave a pretty shine on the lips and a hydrated feel that lasts for hours.

You can’t deny the aesthetic appeal of these pastel-coloured tubes either. There’s something quite cool about pulling this out of your handbag – it’s far more chic than whipping out a tin of Vaseline or an old chapstick.
I have plenty of lip balms, both owned and sent for testing, but this Summer Fridays tube is one I keep coming back to. It’s easy to see why Meghan, and so many others, love it.
If you’re looking for a cheaper alternative, try Ole Henriksen Pout Preserve Peptide Lip Treatment, currently reduced from £17 to £12.75.
Laneige’s popular Lip Sleeping Mask is a fan favourite, with celebrities including Meghan singing its praises

Meghan also listed another lip balm among her beauty must-haves: Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask, currently £15.75. She highlighted the strawberry flavour, but there are lots to choose from. Despite its name, you can use this at any time of day. I keep my pot of Laneige lip balm by my bed, while the Summer Fridays one travels with me in my handbag.
Other products in Meghan’s beauty routine include Tatcha The Dewy Skin Cream, from £24, RMS Beauty Luminizer, £39, and cult classic Weleda Skin Food, now £9.47 down from £12.07.
