Iwobi becomes Nigeria’s second most-capped EPL player

Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi has moved into second position on the list of Nigerians with the most Premier League appearances after featuring in Fulham’s 3-2 defeat to West Ham United at the London Stadium on Tuesday night.

The 28-year-old has now made 274 appearances in the English top flight, surpassing former Arsenal, Portsmouth and West Bromwich Albion striker Nwankwo Kanu.

Former Newcastle United forward Shola Ameobi leads the chart with 293 appearances.
