Jesus internal king

 *SUNDAY, JUNE 9, 2024.*

 *TOPIC: JESUS, ETERNAL KING*

 _” And it came to pass in the seven and thirtieth year of the captivity of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the twelfth month, on the seven and twentieth day of the month, that Evilmerodach king of Babylon in the year that he began to reign did lift up the head of Jehoiachin king of Judah out of prison” 2 Kings 25:27._

 *MESSAGE*
King Evilmerodach was not evil as his name suggested. He released king Jehoiachin of Judah from prison the same year he began to reign. He did this when hope appeared lost for Jehoiachin who had been in prison for 37 years, and was at least 73years old at the time of his release. Unfortunately, this king reigned for just 2 years, leaving his many beneficiaries in a state of uncertainty.

However, while man is limited, God is unlimited. Jesus Christ, during His earthly ministry, did much more and can still do more. He once healed a man in captivity of 38years and a mentally deranged man of many years.  Jesus Christ, the King of Glory, sets captives free, in line with His mandate and mission. And unlike Evilmerodach, Jesus still reigns and will reign through all eternity.

Jesus remains the best option; make Christ your Lord and Saviour and see the difference. He will lift you up and put a new song in your mouth. Whatever is holding you captive will give way and bow to the King of Glory.  It’s the good heritage of His children.

  *ACTION POINT*
• See Jesus as your only option and stick to Him till the end. He never fails.

1. Lord Give me the grace to make you my King and remain in you till the end.

2. Lord, set me free from every inherited captivity in Jesus’mighty name.

3. Lord, open my eyes to see my self-inflicted captivities and deliver me from them.

4. You are the King who reigns forever, make my deliverance permanent in Jesus’mighty name.
