Recent reports indicate that Jurgen Klopp might make a shocking return to coaching in the Serie A ahead of the 2025/2026 club football season.

After stepping out of the coaching world for over a year, former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is reportedly set to make his return in the 2025/2026 club football season.

Jurgen Klopp who emotionally departed Liverpool in 2024, is reportedly set to return to club management with Roma.

The Serie A giants remains optimistic about securing the deal, which would see him follow in the footsteps of former Manchester United and Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho, who managed Roma for two and a half years, winning the Europa Conference League in 2022.

After leaving the Premier League giants, Klopp took on a role as Head of Global Soccer for the Red Bull Group at the start of 2025, overseeing strategic football operations for clubs like RB Leipzig, the New York Red Bulls, Leeds United, and Paris FC.

According to La Stampa there are indications that Klopp is yearning for a return to the dugout. Roma, who recently saw former Chelsea and Leicester boss Claudio Ranieri retire, has reportedly identified Klopp as a top target.

The Friedkin ownership group in Rome has been eyeing him for some time, and a “full agreement” is now being claimed to have been reached.

This suggests Klopp is preparing to leave his Red Bull Group position to take the helm at the Stadio Olimpico and despite reportedly being in discussions with another club undergoing a significant takeover, Klopp appears poised to join Roma.
