Kaduna Electric has taken a significant step towards enhancing electricity supply and stimulating economic development across it’s franchise states comprising Sokoto, Kebbi, Zamfara, and Kaduna.
In a strategic partnership with J-Marine Logistics Limited, ASI Engineering Limited, the core investor in Kaduna Electric, will deliver a 100MW solar energy project with a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS).
The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed at Kaduna Electric’s corporate headquarters.

The Chairman, Board of Directors, Alh Aminu Abubakar Suleiman, stated at the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing ceremony at Kaduna Electric’s corporate headquarters that ”it is a defining moment in our collective journey towards a more sustainable and reliable energy future within our franchise states.”
Also speaking at the event, the MD/CEO, Dr. Umar Abubakar Hashidu, highlighted that the project will significantly boost electricity supply, support industrial growth, and stimulate sustainable economic activity. The solar power capacity allocation will be: Kaduna State: 60MW, Sokoto State: 20MW, Zamfara State: 10MW and Kebbi State: 10MW
In his remarks, the team lead of J-Marine Logistics Limited, Mohammad Shafir Jampur said ” we are discussing to produce electric solar panels here in Kaduna with the capacity of 200-500 MegaWatt, we are looking forward to working with you in these areas to improve power supply within the franchise states of Kaduna Electric. He added.
This partnership aims to unlock the socio-economic potential of the franchise states, contributing to energy stability and improved livelihoods.
