Kate Middleton channels Claudia Winkleman’s Traitors wardrobe with cashmere piece loved by both

Royal watchers were thrilled when Prince William and Kate Middleton made two public appearances earlier this week, as they embarked on a two-day visit to the Isles of Mull and Iona. While taking the ferry across to the Isle of Iona, Duchess Kate chose a countryside-ready outfit – and it seemed like she’d been inspired by Claudia Winkleman’s iconic looks on The Traitors.

Claudia’s stylish country outfits have become the highlight of the BBC show – which is also filmed in Scotland – and she has helped make Johnstons of Elgin’s cashmere pieces a must-have wardrobe item. Kate is also familiar with the brand’s luxurious cashmere pieces, having previously worn several jumpers from them in the past.

During her ferry ride, the Princess of Wales was spotted in a moss green V-neck jumper, and although we can’t confirm where it’s from, it looks just like Johnstons of Elgin’s Classic Cashmere V Neck in the shade olive green. The comfy jumper is priced at £425 and is made from 100% two ply cashmere, with a relaxed fit and V-neckline.

Kate paired her green jumper with a broderie anglaise blouse, tweed blazer, skinny jeans and a pair of heeled ankle boots – all of which have been sported by Claudia on The Traitors. One of Claudia’s most coveted pieces from this year’s series was her Cashmere and Wool Gun Club Shacket, which also came from Johnstons of Elgin.

While Claudia’s exact jacket may be out of stock (it was filmed last year, after all), trendsetters can still nab her cosy cashmere shacket in a similarly chic grey and charcoal check. You can also pick it up in a classy beige herringbone pattern.
